Etiology and Pathological Analysis
[Analysis 1] According to The Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, it is all due to the unresolved exogenous cold – pathogen, the toxic – pathogen attacking the brain, or the growth of nasal polyps, with excessive heat in the brain. The nose is the orifice of the lung. When wind – cold attacks the lung, the body fluids congeal, resulting in nasal congestion. Or when wind – heat attacks the lung, the nasal membrane becomes swollen, which also leads to the disease of nasal congestion.
