Operation
The child lies on his/her back. The doctor kneads the umbilical region with one hand and kneads the Guiwei (GV1) acupoint with the other hand. After that, let the child lie face down. Rubbing from the Guiwei (GV1) acupoint upwards to the Qijiegu (the section from the 1st sacral vertebra to the tip of the coccyx) is regarded as the tonifying method, while rubbing in the opposite direction is the reducing method. Perform the operation for 40 to 50 times.

Key Points of the Movement
The rubbing manipulation should be done at a relatively fast frequency, and it should be stopped when the local area becomes warm and reddish.

Requirements and Precautions

Carry out the manipulation according to the specific operation procedure.
