Wind-Cold Cold
It is mostly caused by a sudden drop in temperature, getting chilled in the morning, or kicking off the quilt while sleeping at night. Symptoms may include fear of cold, fear of wind, stuffy nose with clear nasal discharge, frequent sneezing, little or no sweating, and a floating and red fingerprint. At this time, the key is to warm yang and dispel cold. The following acupoints are recommended for pediatric tuina:
Four Major Manipulation Techniques on the Head and Face

Kai Tianmen (Opening the Heavenly Gate)
[Location]: It is a straight line starting from the midpoint of the line connecting the two eyebrows and extending upwards to the anterior hairline.
[Operation]: Use two thumbs, or mainly the middle finger with the index finger and ring finger as assistants, and push straight upwards alternately from bottom to top.
Tui Kangong (Pushing the Palace of the Concubine)
[Location]: It is a straight line starting from the inner end of the eyebrow and extending to the outer end of the eyebrow, symmetrical on both sides.
[Operation]: Use two thumbs to push from the inner end of the eyebrow to the outer end of the eyebrow simultaneously.
Rou Taiyang (Kneading the Temple)
[Location]: It is in the depression behind the intersection of the extended line of the outer end of the eyebrow and the extended line of the outer corner of the eye.
[Operation]: Use the middle finger to knead counterclockwise at this acupoint.
Rou Erhou Gaogu (Kneading the High Bone Behind the Ear)
[Location]: It is in the depression below the high bone behind the ear.
[Operation]: Use the thumb or middle finger to knead at this acupoint.
Shunrou Yiwofeng (Kneading Yiwofeng in Clockwise Direction)

[Location]: It is in the middle depression of the transverse wrist crease on the back of the hand.

Rou Wailaogong (Kneading Wailaogong)

[Location]: It is in the depression at the midpoint of the third and fourth metacarpal bones on the back of the hand.
[Operation]: Use the tip of the middle finger or thumb to knead in a clockwise direction.
Tui Sanguan (Pushing Sanguan)

[Location]: It is a straight line along the radial edge of the forearm, from the transverse wrist crease to the transverse elbow crease.
[Operation]: Use the radial edge of the thumb or the surface of the index and middle fingers to push straight from the transverse wrist crease to the transverse elbow crease.
Wind-Heat Cold
It is commonly seen when there is a sudden rise in temperature and the child gets 受风 (exposed to wind) after sweating while playing in the afternoon. Symptoms include fever, sweating, red and sore throat, thick yellow nasal discharge, hot palms and soles, and a purple and stagnant fingerprint. The treatment should focus on dispelling wind and clearing heat. The following acupoints are selected for tuina:

Ni Yun Nei Bagua (Circling Nei Bagua Counterclockwise)

[Location]: On the palm surface, take the center of the palm as the center of a circle, and use 2/3 of the distance from the center of the palm to the transverse crease at the base of the middle finger as the radius to draw a circle.
[Operation]: Use the thumb or middle finger mainly, with the index finger or ring finger as an assistant, and circle counterclockwise.
Qing Tianheshui (Clearing Tianheshui)

[Location]: It is a straight line in the middle of the inner side of the forearm, from the transverse wrist crease to the transverse elbow crease.
[Operation]: Use the surface of the index and middle fingers to push straight from the transverse wrist crease to the transverse elbow crease.
Tui Liufu (Pushing Liufu)

[Location]: It is a straight line along the ulnar edge of the forearm, from the transverse wrist crease to the transverse elbow crease.
[Operation]: Use the radial edge of the thumb or the surface of the index and middle fingers to push straight from the transverse elbow crease to the transverse wrist crease.
Tui Ji (Pushing the Spine)

[Location]: It is a straight line on the midline of the back, from below the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra (Dazhui acupoint) to the end of the coccyx.
[Operation]: Use the pulp of the index and middle fingers to push straight from Dazhui down to the tip of the coccyx.
The Way of Preventing Diseases Before They Occur
When the healthy qi is stored inside the body, the pathogenic factors cannot invade. For daily health care and prevention, the following acupoints can be selected:
Shun Yun Nei Bagua (Circling Nei Bagua Clockwise):
It is like the spring breeze and rain moistening the fertile soil, regulating the ascending and descending of qi, and promoting digestion and relieving stagnation.

[Location]: On the palm surface, take the center of the palm as the center of a circle, and use 2/3 of the distance from the center of the palm to the transverse crease at the base of the middle finger as the radius to draw a circle.
[Operation]: Use the thumb or middle finger mainly, with the index finger or ring finger as an assistant, and circle clockwise.
Gongzi Caobei (Rubbing the Back in the Shape of “Gong”)
It is like the morning sunlight melting the frost, invigorating the defensive yang qi.

[Location]: On the back, in the shape of a “Gong”, it is composed of the horizontal line where the “Fengmen” (1.5 cun beside the spinous process of the second thoracic vertebra) and “Feishu” (1.5 cun beside the spinous process of the third thoracic vertebra) on the upper back are located, the midline of the spine, and the horizontal line where the “Shenshu” (1.5 cun beside the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra) on the waist is located.
[Operation]: Use the palm to rub back and forth until it gets hot.
Nie Ji (Kneading and Pinching the Spine)
It is like building a city wall, preventing the wind-cold pathogenic factors from entering the skin and subcutaneous tissues.

[Location]: It is a straight line on the midline of the back, from below the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra (Dazhui acupoint) to the end of the coccyx.
[Operation]: Use the thumbs and the index and middle fingers symmetrically. Start from the end of the coccyx, and alternately squeeze and push upwards in a loose-tight manner until reaching below the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra (Dazhui acupoint).
Rou Zusanli (Kneading Zusanli)
It is like strengthening the foundation and cultivating the origin, strengthening the spleen and stomach.

[Location]: 3 cun below the outer knee eye and 1 cun away from the anterior border of the tibia.
[Operation]: Use the spiral surface of the thumb to knead up and down.
