Gua sha health care is actually not difficult, like a comb, enamel cup lid, and even a spoon with a round body can be used to gua sha, which is simple and easy to operate.

1、Common cold: large vertebral points

Large vertebral points: Located in the lower depression of the highest raised bone at the back of the neck, it is more obvious when the head is lowered.

Method: Scrape from top to bottom, generally 5~10 minutes each time, and it is advisable to feel warm at the back of the neck.

2、Low back pain: hand + back

Method: Apply gua sha oil to the lower back, then slowly scrape both sides of the spine from top to bottom.

The reflex area of the waist on the hand is in the middle of the back of the hand, you can apply a little gua sha oil first, and then slowly scrape along the wrist to the tip of the middle finger.

While scraping, look for areas with pain, nodules, muscle tension and stiffness, and scrape for 15~30 minutes each time.

3、Breast nodules: Comb both breasts

Method: Apply a little moisturizer, then keep the scraper at a 45-degree angle with the breast, and slowly scrape from the nipple base under the breast to the nipple, with a gentle force, and it is appropriate to feel comfortable, 5~10 minutes each time.

Tianshu acupoint: located two inches next to the umbilicus.

7、Neck and shoulder pain: Fengchi acupoint + shoulder well acupoint

Fengchi acupoint: On both sides of the big tendons behind the forehead and parallel to the earlobes, the two pits behind the head are this acupuncture point.

Shoulder well point: at the midpoint of the line between the large vertebra and acromion, at the highest point of the shoulder.

Method: Scrape the wind pool from top to bottom against the skin, until it reaches the shoulder well, and then along the direction of the shoulder, from the inside to the outside, 30 times where there is meat, and 20 times where there is no meat.

Tip: Adjust the angle with your wrist and move your forearm to drive the gua sha board to scrape.

8、Nourish blood and liver: blood sea point + three yin jiao

Xuehai Point: Bend your knees, cover your kneecaps with your palms, your five fingers facing up, your palms naturally open, and your thumbs are the place where the most flesh is under them.

Sanyinjiao: Located on the inner side of the calf, 4 fingers above the ankle joint.

Method: Scrape from the inner side of the lower limb to the Sanyin acupoint, from top to bottom, not pausing in the middle, scrape at one time, until the skin is red and the subcutaneous purple sha spots are formed. Often scraping the three yin can play a role in the purpose of nourishing blood and liver.

Tip: Scrape the outer side of the lower limb gua sha first, from top to bottom, then the back side (where the bladder meridian is located), and then the inner side.

9、Spring real fire: Taichong acupoint + interline acupoint

Symptoms: sore gums, sore throat, sores on the mouth and tongue, thirst for drink, irritability, yellow urine, dry stool, red tongue

Inter-row acupoints: on the dorsal side of the foot, between the first and second toes.

Inner acupoint: on the dorsal side of the foot, between the 2nd and 3rd toes.

Method: When scraping, use the obtuse angle of the gua sha board, first tap the inter-line acupoints and inner courtyard acupoints for 1-2 minutes, and then scrape from the bottom to the top (can be combined with gua sha oil or massage oil), and the force can be greater within the range that can be tolerated, and the scraping can be done until the sha is out or scraped 50 times.

The sha is purple-black: it means that the stasis in the body is more serious. The severity of the scar marks is not entirely related to the disease and will slowly dissolve, so there is no need to worry too much.

The Death Zone cannot be scraped

Gua sha is a relatively safe health care procedure, but there are still many contraindications. Who is not suitable for gua sha? Where can I not scrape? We also need to know.

1、Do not shave the sides of the neck

Traditional Chinese medicine has clinically found that there are certain risks associated with neck scraping, especially on both sides of the neck, which must not be easily scraped!

This is because the middle of the sternocleidomastoid muscle is home to the carotid sinus, which is a baroreceptor that, if stimulated, can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, making people look black and dizzy.

If you continue to stimulate it, it may cause serious consequences, especially if you are not in good health.

Avoid the area on both sides of the neck when gua sha, and the same goes for massage.

2、Contraindications can not be scraped by the crowd

Patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, the elderly and frail, skin allergies, leukemia, Henoch-Schonlein purpura, thrombocytopenia, cancer, dermatitis, or people with wounds and scars on the skin, as well as pregnant women and women in the menstrual period, are not suitable for gua sha

Of course, even healthy people can’t gua sha every day. Be sure to give your body a recovery period and wait for the traces of the last gua sha to disappear before proceeding.

Gua sha tips

1. Hold the scraper in your hand, the direction of the scraper is 45 ° or less than the angle of the skin, the more flat the scrape, the more comfortable, do not shovel.

2. Many people think that gua sha gua sha must be scraped out, and the more sha the better, but Mr. Yang pointed out that this is incorrect. People are prone to gua sha when they have a cold, fever, and fatigue, and healthy people are not prone to sha, just skin flushing.

3. Gua sha should not be scraped back and forth, but from top to bottom, from the inside to the outside, and should be scraped in one direction to lengthen the scraping distance as much as possible. In this way, it is scraped in the direction of arterial blood circulation to promote blood circulation.

4. It is advisable to scrape 3~5 parts each time, and each part should be scraped for 3~5 minutes, and the longest should not exceed half an hour.

5. Different forces will also produce different effects, light stimulation is “supplement”, strong stimulation is “laxative”, the average person does not know whether their physique is real or virtual, and they are not sure to make up for the laxative, so they maintain the average strength, which is called “flat supplement and flat laxative”.
