Zhiyin: On the outer side of the tip of the little toe of the foot, at a distance from the corner of the toenail, about the width of a chive leaf.
Toulinqi: In the depression 0.5 cun inside the hairline directly above the eye.

Analysis of Etiology and Pathogenesis
[Analysis 1]: According to the “Golden Mirror of Medicine”: For the condition of tearing when facing the wind, tears come out when exposed to the wind. At the beginning, it is more severe in winter and milder in summer. After a long time, it occurs in both winter and summer. This is caused by the deficiency of the liver, wind, pathogenic heat. If the tears come out without redness and pain, it is a deficiency condition. If the tears are hot, accompanied by swelling, redness and pain, it is an excess condition.

The Lanjiang Ode states: For all kinds of eye diseases and sufferings, the acupoint Toulinqi should be needled.
The Baizheng Ode states: When there is tearing, prick at the acupoints Toulinqi and Touwei (ST8).
The Tongxuan Zhiyao Ode states: For eye discharge and cold tears, Toulinqi is especially effective.

Medical Cases
[Case 1]: Ms. Yin, 57 years old, from Henan Province, lived on Zhongyong Street, Shilin, Taipei City. She had suffered from tearing of both eyes for more than ten years. She had consulted both Chinese and Western doctors but there was no improvement. On February 1, 1972 (the 61st year of the Republic of China), she came to me for diagnosis and treatment. After applying acupuncture at Zhiyin (BL67) and Toulinqi (GB15) once, she recovered.
