Dizziness mostly belongs to the attack of liver fire. Dizziness, blurred vision, and vomiting occur. Fengchi, Touwei, and Baihui are used together, with Taichong, Qiuxu, and Shangxing added.

Introduction of Acupoints
Fengchi: At the lower part of Naokong acupoint, in the depression of the hairline. When pressed, it can cause a sensation in the ear.
Touwei: Inside the hairline at the corner of the forehead, four cun and five fen beside Shenting acupoint.
Baihui: In the middle of the head. When sitting upright, it can be located by going straight up from the tips of both ears.
Taichong: About one cun above the space between the big toe and the second toe of the foot.
Qiuxu: In the slightly forward depression below the lateral malleolus of the foot, within the bone seam.
Shangxing: One cun inside the hairline directly above the tip of the nose.

Analysis of Etiology and Pathogenesis
[Analysis 1]: As noted in “The Golden Mirror”: True head wind pain is connected to the inside of the brain. The hands and feet turn blue and cold all the way to the elbows and knees. If it occurs in the morning, the patient may die in the evening. All symptoms such as headache, dizziness, frequent confusion, sudden severe pain in the eyes, loss of vision, or after excessive diarrhea are ominous signs.
[Analysis 2]: Regarding the symptom of dizziness, although dizziness is a minor illness, many serious diseases start from dizziness. There are often cases where the eyes suddenly become blurred and the person falls down abruptly and cannot be saved. (See the verification records)
[Analysis 3]: In “Plain Questions: Treatise on the Supreme Ultimate and the Essentials of Medicine”: All wind-related tremors and dizziness belong to the liver, and all reverse qi rushing upward belong to fire. Among them, there are cases of internal attack of liver fire, and also cases of obstruction by damp phlegm. Dizziness and blurred vision can also be caused by insufficient kidney water with upward rushing of deficiency fire, or by the decline of the fire of the Mingmen with upward floating of true yang.
Medical Cases
[Case 1]: Mr. Yang, from Guangdong Province, lived in the third section of Ren’ai Road, Taipei City. His wife, who was 41 years old, suffered from dizziness and was ashamed to see the sunlight. She needed someone to support her when walking. In August 1964, she came to me for diagnosis and treatment. I needled Fengchi, Touwei, Baihui, Taichong, Qiuxu, and Shangxing. After five treatments successively, she was cured.
[Case 2]: Mr. Bai, from Shandong Province, was 49 years old and lived on Xinxing Street, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan Province. He had suffered from dizziness for three years. On December 19, 1967, he came to me for diagnosis and treatment. After needling the above-mentioned acupoints seven times, he was cured.
