Analysis of Etiology and Pathogenesis
[Analysis 1]: Headache can be divided into excess and deficiency types. Temporary pain is mostly caused by excess pathogenic factors, while long-term pain is accompanied by deficiency of the healthy qi. Frontal headache is mostly due to wind-heat, and migraine is mostly due to phlegm-fire. The pain in the back of the head mostly belongs to the Taiyang Meridian and the Governor Vessel Meridian. When it suddenly attacks, the pain is as heavy as being pressed by a stone, and the head cannot be lifted.
