I. Acupoint: Spleen Meridian (Spleen Earth)

Location: The radial side of the thumb.

Operation:

① Tonifying the Spleen Meridian: Make the child’s thumb slightly bent. The operator uses the surface of the thumb to push straight along the radial edge of the child’s thumb towards the root of the palm, as shown in the middle picture.

② Clearing the Spleen Meridian: Push straight on the surface of the child’s thumb, as shown in the right picture.

Push about 100 to 300 times.

Indications: Indigestion, diarrhea, vomiting, infantile malnutrition, weakness of the four limbs, etc.

II. Acupoint: Lung Meridian (Lung Metal)

Location: The palmar surface of the ring finger.

Operation:

① Tonifying the Lung Meridian: Perform a circular – pushing motion on the surface of the ring finger, as shown in the middle picture. Push about 200 – 400 times for tonification.

② Clearing the Lung Meridian: Push straight towards the root of the finger, as shown in the right picture. Clear for 200 – 400 times.

Indications: Fever, cough, asthma, chest tightness, sore throat, etc.

III. Acupoint: Kidney Meridian (Kidney Water)

Location: The palmar surface of the little finger.

Operation:
① Tonifying the Kidney Meridian: Perform a circular – pushing motion on the surface of the little finger, as shown in the middle picture. Push about 200 – 400 times for tonification.
② Clearing the Kidney Meridian: Push straight from the tip of the little finger towards the finger root, as shown in the right picture. Clear for 100 – 200 times.

Indications: Difficult and painful urination with dark – colored urine, enuresis, frequent urination, etc.

IV. Acupoint: Liver Meridian (Liver Wood)

Location: The palmar surface of the index finger.

Operation:

① Tonifying the Liver Meridian: Perform a circular-pushing motion on the surface of the child’s index finger, as shown in the middle picture. Push about 100 – 200 times for tonification.

② Clearing the Liver Meridian: Push straight from the tip of the finger towards the root of the finger, as shown in the right picture. Clear for 100 – 300 times.

Indications: Convulsions and twitches, red eyes, common cold, diarrhea due to spleen deficiency, hepatitis, etc.

V. Acupoint: Heart Meridian (Heart Fire)

Location: The palmar surface of the middle finger.

Operation:
① Tonifying the Heart Meridian: Perform a circular – pushing motion on the surface of the child’s middle finger, as shown in the middle picture. Push about 100 – 200 times for tonification.
② Clearing the Heart Meridian: Push straight from the fingertip towards the finger root, as shown in the right picture. Clear for 100 – 300 times.

Indications: High fever with loss of consciousness, restlessness, crying at night, ulcers in the mouth and on the tongue, scanty and dark – colored urine, etc.
